Marcin Jasiewicz says his family was the driving force in encouraging him to participate in the Employee Scholar Program. "They gave me their full support and were my motivation," he said.
Marcin joined Pratt & Whitney as a tool maker. He soon found that he was fascinated with semiautomatic manufacturing and wanted to learn more. He enrolled in Rzeszow University of Technology and earned a master's degree in engineering. Today he is an expert in what is known as the CNC environment and supervises a 20-person team that operates CNC machines. CNC, which stands for Computer Numerical Control, is a process used in manufacturing that involves the use of computers to control machine tools. In Marcin's case, the CNC machines are used for making manufacturing tools for aircraft components.
